Architectural Context:
Hugh Taylor designed this proposed structure in September of 1962 for Mrs. L. B. Van Vlack. The two-story block building consists of 1,650 square feet with five bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dinning room, a living room, and ample built-in storage space. The exterior was stucco finished with a built-up gable on hip roof. The simple structure was proposed on government lot 4, on the corner of Sunset Road and Escondido Street, just south of McCarran Airport. It is unknown if this project came to fruition or it was merely a proposal for the Van Vlack family.
